Voting by Prestonwood West Residents

As voting precincts were realigned following the 2000 Census, everyone in Prestonwood West was switched from two precincts into one – Precinct 136, which makes voting easier and more efficient.  And because of where we live, we vote in both Dallas City and Collin County elections, which are usually combined at one site.  This could be true again this year as Dallas and Collin County voting sites most likely will be combined.

The most convenient early election site for Prestonwood West residents is the Renner-Frankford Library on Frankford Road just east of Preston Road.  The Election Day polling location for Precinct 136 is usually the Rose Haggar Elementary School in the center of our community.

Precinct 136 boundaries are Frankford Road, north; Preston Road, east; White Rock Creek, west; Collin County line, south.  There are 1,363 registered voters in Pct. 136, which includes residents in Cambridge Place, Preston Trails Fairways, Shalimar, Remington Park along with Prestonwood West and the two apartments on the eastern edge of our community.  Residents in Pct. 136 are also within congressional District 3, State Senate District 8 and State House District 67.
