Community

Prestonwood West is a unique, family-oriented community of Far North Dallas in an excellent close-in location, nestled between three private country clubs:  Preston Trails, Bent Tree and Prestonwood.  The neighborhood, which combines natural beauty, abundant trees and picturesque curving streets, is a peaceful setting for families of all sizes.  Prestonwood West is in the city of Dallas and within southern Collin County.  Residents are subject to taxes levied by the city of Dallas and Collin County, including PISD school taxes.  The community’s boundaries are Frankford Road to the north, Glen Heather to the south, Sunmeadow to the east and White Rock Creek to the west.

Two residential developments are in our neighborhood,  but are not part of the Prestonwood West HOA:  Harbord Oaks, a gated neighborhood of 30 upscale homes where Richwater Drive and Cedar Creek Canyon meet, was developed in 1987 by developers Todd and Hughes and has its own HOA.  The two apartment complexes at the eastern end of the neighborhood on Preston Road at Richwater, Preston Villa and Summer Villas, are also not included in the Prestonwood West HOA.

Other nearby residential developments include the gated communities of Shalimar, Cambridge Place and the Windsor Place townhomes along with the Preston Trails Fairways and the Remington Park townhomes.  While adjacent, these residential areas are not part of the Prestonwood West Master HOA.
