Managing Agent
The community’s developer hired the services of Paulk Association Management, Inc. as Prestonwood West’s managing agent before the neighborhood was turned over to homeowners in 1991. Maurice Paulk continued managing the association’s business affairs until he retired in 1993, at which time he recommended turning the business over to Excel Association Management under the ownership and management of Patrick Clark. Since 1993, Excel has represented Prestonwood West providing high quality service to the association. The primary objective of Excel is to assist the board of directors in managing the association’s business affairs in order to protect the investment of the association members and to achieve the association’s goals in the most economical manner possible. The specific duties of the management firm are:
Preparation of monthly financial statements.
Collection of annual dues and assessments.
Maintenance of the association’s banking accounts, books and records.
Payment of association expenses.
Regular inspection of property.
Employment and supervision of the association’s service vendors, including landscapers, electricians, bricklayers, etc.
Handling of the association’s insurance requirements.
Attendance and participation in the association’s bi-monthly board meetings and homeowners’ annual meeting.
